A romantic comedy with some similarity with the movie "My Best Friend's Wedding". Nothing special about it, just fun to see that Patrick Dempsey has grown up since "Can't buy me love" and can make decent flicks. An overall movie for this genre.
a cute love story...typical falling in love with a friend kind of thing...they made it grander with the "duke's character"...and how convenient for most of the cast to being very rich...
Made Of Honor was a very funny funny movie. It was a great romantic comedy movie. I am a guy and I even liked this movie. I think that romantic comedies always seem to be pretty good. They aren't getting old at all. Some people I hear didn't like this movie. With the looks of it I don't think to many people liked this. In my opinion it was entertaining and cute. The actors in this movie were perfect and made it a whole lot better. I think the cast was great and funny. It was pretty predictable and you kind of know what will happen. I didn't really care to much that it was predictable though. This movie kind of makes you feel for Patricvk Dempsey. Some people can relate to this movie in ways. The story was cute and pretty original. The acting was pretty well played. I would say they could have done a bit better but overall good enough acting. I think they mixed it up very well with everything and didn't focus to much on just one thing the whole movie which was a good thing. Overall this was a very good romantic comedy movie. I even think that most guys can enjoy this movie as well.
Predictable. The plot we've seen it one too many times. But I enjoyed it. You have to watch it knowing what ur gonna be seeing,a plain ol romance flick. But a cute one.
There are about two kinds of men in my world. The one is serious guy, the other one is playboy. I think it is very easy to be divided. But I think the first one is going to become extinct, it just likes the situation of dinosaur. Wow, you would very easy to find the second one around you. Although there are so many playboys in the world, even you could divide them into two parts.
1/ This playboy is kind of liar who likes to cheat on some girls. Probably they just want to have sex different girls, but the way to them is easy to come and easy to go, so they don't want to waste too much time. Actually most of them should not have much feeling to any girls. I am sure they are very forgetful, otherwise how could they pay so much attention to everyone. Honestly I don't really like this kind of guys, because they are lairs in a sense.
2/ The other one is honest "playboy" who doesn't need to hide themself. Even girls know all about him, but they still want to follow him. I guess girls must be attracted by his inside. This kind of playboy is never be dirty, but gentle, mature, humourous, cool and deep. Of course he has universal love to his girls, in a sense he taste girls from their souls, they appreciate each other. Just because he has such advantages, then he could become attractive like that, so they should be respected. I do appreciate this kind of "playboy", they deserve.
Tom is a such typical playboy revive to be a serious life partner. Of course it is a comedy, but at least this charactar should be appreciated.
I wanted to see this movie so i waited till was on DVD to watch it...
I believe it was a funny romantic comedy and I'm sorry to differ from any who had argued its an excelent movie but is not! The movie is predictable, kinda borring, lousy, and Patrick Dempsey's performance doesnt help the movie...
good movie to watch when u have nothing to do...
MADE OF HONOR is a perfectly suited summer film of light and whimsy with a solid cast and moves at a good pace. The film is an "audience pleaser" with glamorous New York and Scottish locations, wonderful costumes and enjoyable humor. The writing was perfectly suited to the characters and their journeys. And I love love love McDreamy harhar ooops!!!
Go see this film - I don't think you'll be disappointed. He makes a very good Made of Honor and a happy ending is guaranteed. The scenery in Scotland is gorgeous as well.
A predictable rom-com with far too many Scottish/British stereotypes for my liking. Monaghan and Dempsey are quite cute as the lead couple - with some hot and cold running chemistry throughout the movie - but there aren't enough laugh out loud moments to help you ignore the terribly dull and seen-it-all-before plot. That said, there are some glimmers of good comedy in the scenes featuring Tom's male friends - it's a pity they didn't dig deeper into the comedy gold to be found in the gender role reversal.
a movie i cant wait to end.. it just wasted my time. i can't seem to feel the characters, there's no connection between the two stars.. i must say i envy her, she's so sexy and pretty..
when it is from the guy's perspective, it just has to have a happily ever after doesnt it.
what a shame my best friend's wedding could not have a sweet ever after like made of honor.
if romantic comedies make you vomit this isn't the movie for you, but if you can enjoy a movie independently of its genre, then you're in for a treat.
Lets face it, we all love our chick flicks, and this is a decent one, but theres nothing new or original here.
It was a good movie with a couple of really good moments.
Patrick Dempsey wasn't nearly charming enough as i found myself NOT falling in love with him, thats what this movie was missing, while we felt for claire we didn't feel her love for Tom.
