- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVery simply a brilliant film, watch it....
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have to say that this is one of the best movies if not the best movie I've seen all year! Let me go back just a second and let everyone who reads this know that I am a movie aficionado, I'm a movie buff, a big part of my life is movies and the cinema. I have a collection of over 600 movies! And I just gotta say that the critics were especially harsh and I thought Way Off the Mark and really just mind numbingly inarticulate in their critiques of this movie. I especially want to call out Carla Hay who just slams this movie. If you read her review, it's just nonsensical. This is an excellent movie done in an excellent fashion it couldn't have been more articulate in its presentation and the way they presented the characters and the Cadence in which they presented them and their stories, in my opinion this movie was flawless. Also my opinion and I've seen this over the years that critics whom I'm assuming get paid for that what they would call work, I think Carla was so far off the mark that she probably never even saw the movie! This movie Harkens back to Crash, same type of delivery, same type of emotion, same diverse cast of characters with the same emotional finish. You must trust me when I tell you, see this movie! And if any of you critics are reading this who slammed this movie, don't quit your day job! Maybe you should interview with that idiot Siskel and Ebert, oh wait there's only one of them left he was always one to leave idiotic reviews. Oh by the way, Carla the movie Crash was released in 2004. You've probably never seen it judging by what you perceive as taste in cinema. You should go back and look at it, I think even you would enjoy it if you could sit still long enough to watch it still long enough to watch it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5lbs of Pressure written and directed by the talented Phil Allocco had some powerful messages about violence and forgiveness executed with artistic vision and some powerful acting. Luke Evans was very convincing as Adam and had us on side that he really deserved a break. Allocco cleverly shows Leff played by Alex Pettyfer (who has a powerful on screen presence) does have a heart after all. Other notable characters - Mike - a sensitive soul hopelessly out of his depth in a world of violence played by Rory Culkin whose performance was exceptional and Lorraine Burroughs who was like a widow spider spinning her web and waiting calculatingly until her prey drops by. Rudy Pankow and Stephanie Leonidas give heart wrenching performances as mother and son
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsGreat movie! Thoughtful and emotional
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPhil Allocco really shows us here the division within society that exists and when hopelessness thrives in the dark corners where guns and violence are communicating tools there really is little hope of happy endings. It was so well shot that it holds its audience with some inspiring acting and is beautifully lit creating its own drama. Really felt connected to Adam played by Luke Evans and was truly rooting for him. Rory Culkins portrayal of Mike was truly amazing and left me wanting to see more of this actor. Alex Pettyfer and Stephanie Loenidas were new to me but please let’s have more of them.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsI thought this film was set in New York, that was until 29:47 when it's crystal clear that this film has been shot in Manchester England. Strangest thing I've seen in a movie in a long time, completely ruined any interest I had in watching this as serious movie and turned it into a comedy Strange, strange decision. Poor film regardless
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsBORING BORING BORzzzzzzzzzzzz
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsI really enjoyed this film. Its perfectly cast and Luke Evans does give in my opinion a career best as the ex-prisoner trying to rebuild his collapsed life, Rory Culkin is also on top form and even in the scenes with no dialogue, Rory’s body language is a fantastic display of a man who is mentally torn apart in side and is screaming to be his own person.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe decent score and positive reviews encouraged me to give this movie a shot. Unfortunately, it's very boring despite Luke Evans giving a good performance. I lost interest halfway through.
