Writing is trite and irritating. Actor that plays the original Sam is wooden and annoying. It's like if Ghost and some awful Lifetime thriller had a baby. Six thumbs down.

"Every Time I Die" is a mind-bending and intriguing thriller that takes viewers on a suspenseful and thought-provoking journey. With its unique premise of a murdered man's consciousness traveling through the bodies of his friends to protect them from his killer, this film offers a fresh twist on the genre and keeps audiences on the edge of their seats.

What an engaging, interesting, and dare I say, sweet film? I have seen so many horrible free films on Prime that it was refreshing to watch something that had deeper themes and characters you actually cared for. It's very small budget, the weird wormhole thingy is about all the CGI you're going to get, but it's effective enough to suspend your disbelief. Of course, that whole thing isn't really explained, but unlike most small-budget films, it's not a dealbreaker or really important to the themes of the film. Yes, the big reveal is telegraphed about half-way through the film but I honestly don't think the film makers really cared you could figure it out. But If you're mature enough to see something that unfolds in a very deliberate and interesting way, instead of hitting you over the head, you're going to really enjoy this film.

This an outstanding film seeks lofty goals and achieves them all. A great script and plenty of character development combine with top drawer filmmaking to keep you firmly planted in a state that feels a lot like a hypnotic trance. At the end, it's all payoff. Everything comes clearly together, and a sort of double twist resolves it all. A film that proves conclusively that a quality genre film does not need an ambiguous, "interpret it for yourself because I'm not sure what I'm trying to say," arthouse ending to make you think.

This movie shows you that you don't need much of a budget to make something engaging. Some of the acting could use some work but the story and the directing make up for it. Looking forward to what this director does next!

It was actually a decent concept. I could see the final revelation coming by halfway through the movie. It was just cheap, though.

Good move I liked it. Not-a-Spoiler: Surprised how many people in comments asking what the cloud vortex is. Really surprised. Its the proverbial [light at the end of the tunnel, complete with both tunnel and light] that ur spirit goes through when u die that every movie and story has talked about for the past unknowlably yugely bigly number of years. The one that if u get sidetracked for whatever reason such as unfinished business ur spirit stays behind and becomes a ghost or go find urself a body to inhabit. a well known concept for very long time now. SPOILERs ahead: Some were seemingly unsure of what the blackouts are about. Sam isn't sam. Sam is Sara conditioned by not wanting her parents to be unhappy and the therapist telling her she is just confused and guilty and acting out by acting like Sara to acting like she is sam and then living as if she is Sam. Sam number 2 is also in there and he is recessive and she is dominant. He is in charge during the blackouts. Sam number 1 is in charge the rest of the time. 2 spirits in one body. It shows her changing her mind about heading off to 'whatever name u call the afterlife' when the charging paddles are applied to attempt to jump start her heart, then she hovers around the hospital temporarily considering the old lady before whispering to Sam and settling in to call his body Home. The only problem I have with that concept is that it has both their spirits for the sake of the twist acting as if they are combined. They both leave at death and claim a new home together continuously then leave together at the end. Or original Sam leaves when his body dies and only Sara stays around. They have it for the sake of the 'twist' but it leaves it in odd territory for the sake of they should be two separate entitites when the body is gone but their acting as if they are one because that is what the audience is supposed to assume. Could call it a plothole.

I was really confused about the 100% critic score until I looked for closely - most are giving it 3/5 - that's not exactly straight ‘A's. This is an interesting premise and is visually impressive - only if you're considering how small the budget probably was - it's NOT impressive when compared to the general population. The acting is really uneven. I also don't really understand most of the "mystery"? How was Sam able to live a relatively normal life up to this point? Why is he constantly clutching his neck and passing out? What brought that on? Why does he keep blacking out? I might have missed the point due to my apathetic view of the film but I'm not sure a mysterious poorly CGIed stormy wormhole (straight out of Star Trek:TNG) was an adequate explanation? Indie films don't have big budgets so they to rely on simple, solid storytelling and Every Time I Die doesn't have that.

eh, i made it through the whole movie, and at times i didnt want to, but i just wanted to know what was happening so i kept watching, and at the end they only explained very little, and i already thought that was what was going on so i wasnt surprised at all. i kinda wish there was more of a reason for what was going on, i think they missed a very big chance at an awesome back story, the acting was only ok but definitely not as bad as most indie films. the only positive i can take away from this movie were the few thrilling/fight scenes. i wouldnt watch again and its not something i will remember, others have done it better, and that makes me upset for the missed opportunities, the slow scenes were to pointless and the build up was painful and the end was a lame drop off, but the few exciting scenes mixed with a good story and clean camera work gives me hope for the future, its just a little rough around the edges
