Everybody's Talking About Jamie

Jamie, Pritti, Hugo, Loco... These figures are designed to appeal to girls, boys and everyone in between. As such, they more than deserve to be the talk of the town.

Making the characters and setting cohere is really the job of the musical numbers, and they aren't quite up to the task.

The young actor seems to share his character's confidence in his own destiny; he's best in the well-choreographed songs. The film depends perhaps too much on them, but, then again, you don't turn the music down at a good party.

With its "Glee"-colored dance numbers and drag-lite drag scenes, "Everybody's Talking About Jamie" just isn't serving.

A heartwarming musical with the performances to really make it shine.

Jamie might not be striding into new territory exactly, but it's a superficial charmer of a movie.

With catchy songs, inventive choreography, and terrific performances from Richard E. Grant, Sharon Horgan, and first-time screen performer Max Harwood, Jamie is the kind of splashy musical you’ll find hard to resist.

If you’re on the lookout for a new film to watch, this is one I highly recommend. With glitz, glamour, and drama, what more do you need?
