First Date

3 stars; This was a combination of a coming-of-age movie and a crime comedy movie. There were some Coen Brother style 'bad guy' characters in the movie that made it a fun movie to kill an evening.

It's usually the middle of my REM but the allure from First Date kept me alert. The basics of movie making have been checked off here. Plot, setting, characters, conflicts, climax, compositions…. So on & so forth, In addition I appreciate the actors natural & mobile stances. The nihility of punch line jokes (ie "what about grandpa" " He's dead.") & the continuation of others (ie feet on the coffee table). Something often unconsidered… the dB of a whisper is actually audible & Night-shots are highlighted subtly while still being able to keep the TVs brightness the same Needs at least a 73% if not more. A complete & recommendable movie. Will rewatch.

it was an comedy then action half then half and it gets dark . while not the funniest flick ive seen it has some moments . i feel bad for this kid while im sure some of us had bad first dates this one is one the worst lol . in the end it can pass a rainy day with nothing else to watch just okay at best

Fun movie. Worth a watch!

Very fun! Saw in theaters and laughed and laughed. Lots of things I didn't expect and fun characters. Also the music (which is all original) drew you in.

Plot was terrible and not enough action for me!

Manuel Crosby is a creative warrior. I loved this film. It's not for everybody but its the type of movie that becomes a cult classic with movie fans because it breaks all the rules. There are alot of tonal shifts in the movie that give it a manic feel to it that I found very entertaining. I loved the two leads. The rest of the cast did a amazing job in the antagonist role. Some classic scenes and dialogue in this movie. This movie goes from some very sweet teen romance scenes to full blown cocaine cowboys in a drop of a hat. It's wild, manic and very entertaining. You have been warned.

I loved this movie, it was a funny, suspenseful, action packed movie. This movie obviously didn't have the money it should've but it did amazing with the tools it was given
