Call me crazy but this BCU is more enjoyable than the MCU with a really big big budget.

Bumilangit Cinematic Universe's Ironman certainly lives up to the expectation. Some say the plot is all over the place but that's to be expected from the young Indonesian movie industry.

A great start to Indonesia's bumilangit movie universe. The storyline was promising and the action was well choreographed

Gundala is an impressive movie, not to be compared with the Super Hero movies of the Hollywood. Here, the Hero is given completely a human figure. Even the action sequences were executed in a very natural way. But, I wish if it was more thrilling and fast. I guess this is just a beginning and expecting sequels.

Joko Anwar's Gundala is a solid, but flawed superhero flick. It is great seeing Indonesia get on board the superhero train, but the overall movie needed to have been stronger. The humor that is present is solid, the acting is good and the fight choreography is particularly terrific, resulting in some amazing action scenes. But the script is overstuffed with too many underdeveloped plot points and the characterization left a lot to be desired.

The movie is great and the action is almost in the same rate as the raid but i kinda get the feeling they eith don't have enough budget or enough time cause I think they wanted to tell a longer stories with are why the story seemed kinda fast and the last battle were to short but still it's pretty good it's not bad and it's not a masterpiece but it is a movie that you would happily watch more than twice

It's to see a Eastern super hero, a new one. But for more than an hour, there's a thought just wondering in my mind: " what's the real script of this film!?". All the actor did a good job, the acting is good, the actions are fine. But the plot is kinda lengthy and tangling here and there. The film didn't let the audience know why the villain "Pengkor" want to do what he did in the film, what is his motivation? What kind of the serum the minions of Pengkor realese on to the rice? What are the abilities of the hero? Why sometimes he is so strong but yet so weak the others? The left hand of Pengkor, he completely disappear in the near end of the movie. So many questions left unclear after after the credit rolls... In my opinion, the script ruined the whole film.

First of all, and lets get it over with: it is nice to see that USA is not the only country that has something interesting to say in the superhero genre, that even the most surprising of world's regions have their story to tell in that so very popular kind of fiction. That being said, I found "Gundala" to be a movie that feels rather backward compared to its current competition. And not, mind me, because on the special effects, as we all know that they are but smoke and mirrors in this genre, and, besides, they are here quite not bad, certainly nothing to be ashamed of. It is just that the story, despite having some really great moments (mostly in the first part, especially in the begging), felt to me, generally, uninspired, like a very average origin story form the era before the MCU domination. It is an interesting franchise-starter and I will be sure to track the BumiLangit Cinematic Universe from now on, but perhaps not with as much interest as its creators would like me to.
