An unexpected delight that deserves more attention than it is getting. A beautifully crafted character exploration helmed by Alma Har'el's unique viewpoint. Although the story stumbles in the final scenes, there is such a strong foundation that you still deeply care about these characters. You can feel the dedication to the process throughout. LaBeouf's standout performance is supported by expertly crafted acting from Hedges (again showing his brilliant range) and Jupe (who is certainly an actor to watch).

This movie was just so spectacular. Stunningly written, acted, and directed cinematically. A truly beautiful movie — visually, emotionally. Oscar worthy. This is Shia's watershed work.

Honey Boy is so raw it can only be seen once, but it must be seen.

Beautifully written, cathartic, a lot of heart. Powerful performance by LaBeouf.

This is not a movie about being a child actor. It is a movie about living in a cheap motel with your sketchy dad. I wasn't interested enough in that topic.

Creative film making and an excellent script. We loved Shia Leboeuf's Peanut Butter Falcon and this film was an excellent second effort.
