Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write About a Serial Killer

The movie mutates beyond recognition, refusing to stick to any one idea for longer than a couple of scenes.

A droll black comedy that's a little on the pokey side; it has some good ideas, but could have executed them with more energy. Still, it's diverting to see Buscemi playing the senior role in a kind of offbeat indie buddy flick he's done before.

A charming return to form for the adult comedy genre — dialogue-driven, character-first, and delightfully absurd. It's a smart and silly piece of narrative chaos that earns every word of its unwieldy title.

Psycho Therapy… is initially a considered, almost ponderous film, but as the various layers are exposed, it reveals itself to be an intriguing, enjoyable farce-like affair full of crossed wires and confused intent.

Thankfully the ends justify the means once Karaçelik goes full speed into the metaphor that marriage is similar to murder. Or, more specifically, that the adrenaline rush of one just might be the jump start necessary to reinvigorate the other.

... a compelling, darkly comedic, thriller worth spending some time on. All this, plus the combined communication breakdown that results in fascination and affection to regret and (murderous?) rage leads to several humorous turns from the able cast.

With deliciously specific tones and a commendable ambition, Psycho Therapy is a twisted black comedy, at least worth the introductory session.
