Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Surprisingly profound, unhinged, genius. Yup. Only issue is I can't tell if some of the jokes were actually bad, or intentionally bad, either way a few didn't make me laugh at all. The majority of it was hilarious though. 95/100

Scott Pilgrim takes comic book live action adaptations to another level. Edgar Wright pulls this movie directly from the comics. With an outstanding cast before it's time, this movie provides the action you desire, the emotion you need, and ultimately, the personality these characters carry. With moments of comedy to moments of love and even moments of pure violence, this 1 for 1 film will have you on a roller coaster and it succeeds exponentially at it!

This gem is exhilarating and utterly chaotic yet in a way it's so familiar and relatable. Who hasn't, as a young man, fantasised about battling the exes of your crush in an epic bid to win her heart? This movie plays out as if read directly from the most ridiculous parts of our young brains and it's absolutely fantastic for it. Edgar Wright strikes again.
