Truly awful script, lacklustre acting apart from Dame Judi, and a very thin storyline.

I'm not sure why Six Minutes To Midnight has received such harsh reviews, but in my opinion they're undeserved. My impression of it is that It's crafted in a 'Film noir' manner reminiscent of old Bogart movies. So there's violence without gore, and intrigue that is relatively easy to follow, and rightly so. It is an artistic piece, and does a fine job of displaying the craftsmanship of the writers and cast. I'd watch it again, the same way I'd watch the Maltese Falcon, High Sierra, or Key Largo. Applause to Eddie Izzard - Bravo

Glaring historical inaccuracies. Calendar shows Saturday August 26th 1939, the war started on Sunday 3rd September. In mid August 1939 it shows newspaper sellers shouting about Poland and war coming, there was no hint that Poland was to be the cassus belli for start of WW2. Nonsense plot with wooden acting.

Oh dear… even Judi Dench couldn't save this. Interesting topic though. If you're a fan of both Judi and Eddie, give it a watch but don't expect too much.

I wonder if Dame Judy read the script before signing up for this eye roller.

BRITAIN 1939. HITLER'S GRIP IS TIGHTENING. NO-ONE CAN BE TRUSTED. Six Minutes to Midnight is a 2020 British war drama film directed by Andy Goddard 🏫 It's good 🙂 I'd recommend it if you like this genre 👍🏼 While not perfect, this is still a well produced and interesting period mystery film… Summer 1939. Influential families in Nazi Germany have sent their daughters to a finishing school in an English seaside town to learn the language and be ambassadors for a future looking National Socialist. A teacher there sees what is coming and is trying to raise the alarm. But the authorities believe he is the problem.

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

I thought it must have been one of those unlikely old spy thriller talkies from the 70s. It grew more and more unlikely as 1 hour and 20 minutes approached. I feared for the gels - the airstrip they lit may have been OK for a flying bike. Thank goodness the pilot saw the lights in more generous terms. I was pleased he didn't land. What was under the squeaking chair, I wonder? I missed that.
