Why even make this movie at all?

NO No no!!!!!! this is the worst film of the year of the decade and of all time why they would make a david bowie movie that is boring when he and his music were not.

A waste of space oddity that should have been shelved and never released. The story concerns David Bowie being influenced by contemporary culture and his older half brother being schizophrenic to become Ziggy Stardust. The portrayal of mental illness and the fact that it can run in families so upset Duncan Jones and crazy Angie Bowie that they would not allow any Bowie music to be used in the film. It is a mess. The characterization of Bowie as a slow to catch on, clueless weirdo is unwelcome and not accurate. Marc Maron acts exactly like Marc Maron, and all the rock journalists are portrayed as egotistical gatekeepers without whose approval no music can ever become popular. Strange and misguided film which takes on a topic far beyond the scope of effort put into researching, writing and telling the story, or making the film. A very weak film is the result.

Stardust Gave us an insightful look on the rockstar David Bowie's Career however the movie also fails to really give knowledge on the rockstar and really the physiology of David Bowie unlike "Bohemian Rhapsody" all I'll say is it had great intentions but poor execution

A film for no one; Bowie fans will hate it and the uninitiated will be unmoved. Weak (in more ways than one) portrayal of Bowie and worse, annoying Marc Maron shows up because duh, there’s an anxious manager character. A film that takes all the joy out of film going, all the mystique out of Bowie. Hardly any actual Bowie music so literally nothing to see here.

Ghastly production. Even the hair was bad. Very slow and lacked depth. I feel sorry for the actors.

I could only watch 20 minutes before turning it off. It's an offense to David Bowie.. and movie making in general.
