This was awful. I find it hilarious that they mirrored half the movie making everyone left handed for at least 30 minutes. Ive never seen so many left handed bolt actions in a war. IYKYK I would except nothing less from perleman.

The American sergeant throws a hand grenade without looking, 10 Germans are killed. The German sniper with a rifle with a telescopic sight shoots 3 Americans, only wounding one. What a lot of nonsense.

Nice so it wasn't just me who thought I was watching Saving Private Ryan in WW1?! I can't believe someone read this script and said "OK". It just keeps going with the word for word SPR script its laughable... Lol /popcorn

Take the Saving Private Ryan script and set it in World War one. Substitute a platoon of Buffalo Soldiers for Matt Damon. Everything else is the same, complete with a letter from Abraham Lincoln, and the captain resolving tension by relating personal details. The film ends with a hopeless battle, outnumbered Americans defending.

Yawn. A made for tv rendition of Saving Private Ryan.

Move was a disservice to those who fought and died in WWI. Characters displayed poor military bearing. In fact, one soldier saluted with his left hand (really??). One Black soldier had dreadlock twists under his helmet. Very preachy on race relations. NCOs and soldiers disobeying orders. Germans were portrayed as idiots (marching into ambushes). Not realistic. Had to turn it off halfway. Painfully unwatchable.

It was pretty cheesy, I had deja vu the whole time.. Reminded me of Saving Private Ryan and the one part with buddy and the German Luger pistol made me think of a Band of Brothers.. it was tough to watch considering my favourite movie genre is war.

If I didn't know any better, I would call this plagiarism at it's best. The only thing this movie has going for it is the possibility of a great story. Instead, the history is drowned by over dramatized scenes, cheap scenery and gross riding of "Saving Private Ryan". If this was an attempt to deceive the IRS, its a fail and if this was a serious endeavor, nice attempt but don't give up your day job.

Seemed fairly authentic as far as uniforms & equipment goes, but is almost a total rip-off of Saving Private Ryan. Opening scenes where the captain is shell shocked in a main battle, general reading a quote from Abe Lincoln, losing two men, coming across a patrol of Germans and having another Allied group shooting them down from cover, only to be from the group they are looking for and that's still only a small sampling of the rip-offs.
