The Tokoloshe

Very good movie, I definitely recommend to watch. More a drama than a horror, though. Some parts of the story could be better explained, and the creature does not exactly resemble Tokoloshe as it is described in folklore. Music theme also impressive. All in all, very decent work.

Poorly written, I get the feeling that the writer had too many ideas, and therefore diverted from the folklore, made it difficult to watch.

A film with great potential. The Tokoloshe as the manifestation of sexual abuse/assault is powerful but the film loses the audience around seemingly gratuitous plot devices and neglected moments of character catharsis.

Not a horrible thriller but definitely not memorable or scary.
