In London Qin Guoli, a wealthy Chinese accountant and his family are the targets of a deadly terrorist organization, "Brothers of Vengeance" Qin hires Vanguard, a private covert security company that caters to the rich. Vanguard's owner Tang Huanting, leads his team to Africa to rescue Qin's daughter before the terrorists grab her. The chase takes them to a furious river with a cool water car and a awesome fight on jet skis... dead ending off a massive water fall. But this is not about money, this is about revenge, a personal vendetta .... And time is running out. I only watched Vanguard because of Jackie Chan, and it is a really cool action flick. Lots of cool locations, London, Africa, Middle East, and Dubai and full of fights, crashes, explosions, cool spy drones, and of course a bit of Jackie Chan humor. Vanguard is definitely worth the watch. Nothing really special, just a fun entertaining Jackie Chan movie. Cast - Jackie Chan, Yang Yang, Miya Muq, Jackson Lou

3 stars; Let's see. Nonstop Marshal Arts fighting scenes - check. Exciting Car/Jeep chases - check. Stunts that seem impossible or they must be CGI'ed - check. A number of international locations- check. A kidnapped daughter of some big shot who must be rescued - check. Yep, I'm watching a Jackie Chan movie. It doesn't really matter that his movies are so boiler plate. They are fun, even if the dialogue is a little unsophisticated. The only negative for this film to me was the multi-language aspect. The continual back-and-forth from the subtitles was disconcerting.

This is my advice to the world. Don't watch this movie. You might be thinking "I'll give this a shot". Don't do it. Read a book. Do some laundry. Scrub the toilet. Watch paint dry. Each of the aforementioned activities are more rewarding than watching this trope heavy cgi nightmare.

Sad to see Jackie's once famous stunt laden movies reduced to low-budget CGI nonsense where the laws of physics and the laws of acting are all optional

Old Jackie, stiff acting, nonsensical action.

This is the worst Jackie Chan (The Accidental Spy, Mr. Nice Guy) and Stanley Tong (Swordsman II, Mr. Magoo) collaboration which is a shame

I dropped it at the lion scene. It's a perfect example of lazy writing. Such a shame, I'm usually a fan of Jackie Chan movies, but this is ridiculous

This action comedy was pretty good. Jackie Chan, Yang Yang, Miya Muqi, Jackson Lou, Eyad Hourani, and the rest of the cast did a pretty good job in this movie. The plot of the movie was action-packed, thrilling, and entertaining. The fight scenes were pretty cool as well. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching.
