    A film that captured my imagination with the Sun Girl and a homeless youth, but it also embraced progressive themes that distracted. I love Japanese culture and this just reinforced it. Saw on HBO.

    This film was the only film I felt let down by. The film wasn't bad but all the hype around it was overstated in my opinion. As always the animation was beautiful and the soundtrack was perfect, I just think that the popularity of Your Name boosted this film beyond what it was. If it wasn't released as the next film following Your Name I don't believe it would ave been discussed as much as it was.
