I was disappointed in the acting and screenplay. It's really not worth spending your time when there are much better and more accurate source about Mormon history.

My parents bought me the DVD for Christmas. I finally got around to seeing it last weekend. It was really bad. The plot was incomprehensible and the acting was very corny. I'm still waiting for a good movie about the 3 Witnesses that gives this material the respect it deserves.

I was very disappointed. I expected the film to be an honest portrayal of Mormon history. This is not that film.

Most compelling watch. The whole script was so cohesive and forceful. I watched the movie late into the night.

I loved this movie. It is a solid 9 out of 10. You can clearly feel the hardships and the motives that drive each and every character. I love how open the movie is at showing the weaknesses and frailties, the bad decisions that were made during the events surrounding the Restoration. I would not recommend this movie if you don't have some previous knowledge of the main storyline of the restoration. For example, "Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration" is a must to then watch and understand The Witnesses more fully.

Morm-onic nonsense. Nothing to see here unless you're a mormon.

I thought it was a fair depiction of early church history

Intriguing story overwhelmed by poor film making. Weak acting and invisible roles for women.
