Christian Camargo

The son of daytime diva Victoria Wyndham (Rachel on "Another World"), Christian Camargo landed his first Broadway role just out of drama school and his career has continued to gain momentum. Tall and lanky, with dark brooding looks, he has proven effective in both classical and contemporary roles. While he had regional theater credits on his resume, Camargo was a virtual unknown when he was tapped to co-star with Michael Gambon and Lia Williams in the New York premiere of David Hare's "Skylark" in 1996. The following year, he was a member of the company that opened the new Globe Theater in London, appearing in "A Chaste Maid in Cheapside" and Shakespeare's "Henry V." (The latter was taped and broadcast on PBS' "Great Performances"). While in England, he filmed a small role in the swashbuckling entertainment "Plunkett and Macleane" (1999). Returning to the USA in 1998, he landed a recurring role on the CBS daytime serial "Guiding Light"; perhaps not ironically, his mother had landed her first major daytime part on the same show some 30 years earlier.
