François Girard

François Girard worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Girard worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Alive TV" (PBS, 1984-1996), "La Femme de l'Hotel" (1984) and "Monsieur Leon" (1986). He also contributed to "Zone 4" (1986). In the nineties, Girard devoted his time to various credits, such as "Cargo" (1990) starring Michel Dumont, "Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould" (1994) starring Colm Feore and "Yo-Yo Ma: Inspired by Bach" (PBS, 1997-98). Recently, Girard continued his focus on film, directing the musical drama "The Red Violin" (1999) with Samuel L. Jackson and the dramatic adaptation "Silk" (2007) with Keira Knightley. In addition to his directing, Girard also appeared on-screen in the Don McKellar comedic drama "Last Night" (1999). Girard most recently directed "Boychoir" (2015) with Dustin Hoffman.
