Madelaine Petsch

Madelaine Petsch was among those fortunate actors who get to make an impact virtually straight out of the gate by scoring a juicy, high-profile role at the beginning of their career. In Petsch's case, that role came in the series "Riverdale" (CW 2017- ). Born on August 18, 1994, Petsch made her first film appearance with a bit part in the horror film "The Hive" (2015). The following year, Petsch played Eliza in the fantasy film "The Curse of Sleeping Beauty" (2016). But none of those roles really seemed like a natural lead-in to the part she was to play in "Riverdale," which took the beloved characters from "Archie" comics and put them into a live-action format intended to be edgier and darker than the comic's wholesome, all-American reputation. Alongside the iconic figures of Archie, Jughead, Betty, and Veronica, Petsch was tapped to play the part of Cheryl Blossom, a mean girl whose wealth is only exceeded by her self-centeredness.
