Megan Mullally

Petite and perky, her small frame belied the vast reservoir of talent possessed by actress-dancer-vocalist, Megan Mullally, who became one of the most cherished fixtures on television with her side-splitting portrayal of Karen Walker on the hit sitcom, "Will & Grace" (1998-2006). When starting out in the business, she was nearly cast as the female lead in "Risky Business" (1983). There were other minor roles in films like "Last Resort" (1986), and unsuccessful attempts to headline a series, with failed projects like "The Ellen Burstyn Show" (ABC, 1986-87). However, after two high-profile Broadway revivals - "Grease" (1994) and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" (1995) - Mullally landed the role of perpetually drunk Karen on "Will & Grace," making her one of television's brightest stars during the show's peak. After the show completed its eight-year run, Mullally turned her attention to a short-lived daytime talk show endeavor, "The Megan Mullally Show" (syndicated, 2006-07), continued to perform with her band, Supreme Music Program, and made numerous guest appearances on shows like "Parks and Recreation" (NBC, 2008-15), the latter, alongside series regular and husband, actor Nick Offerman. The very definition of a "triple-threat," Mullally's versatility ensured that she would remain a sought-after commodity for some time, although it would be as lovable lush Karen Walker for which she would be best remembered.
