Q'orianka Kilcher

Audiences first became acquainted with Q'orianka Kilcher when she took on the challenging role of Pocahontas in Terrence Malick's historical drama "The New World" (2005). Born in Schweigmatt, Germany in 1990 to parents of Swiss and Peruvian descent, Kilcher relocated to Hawaii with her mother at age 2. By the time she was six, the young Kilcher was studying Tahitian and West African dance as well as ballet, and became the first child to study classical voice at the University of Hawaii when she began training there at age 6. After moving to California in 1999, Kilcher added martial arts to her list of interests, eventually earning her black belt in Waifu Kung Fu. She also began auditioning for film roles around this time, landing her first one in 2000 when she was cast as a choir girl in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000). Her breakout role in "The New World" would come five years later. Kilcher would continue to act in the years to come, notably playing the recurring role of Kerrianne Telford on "Sons of Anarchy" (FX, 2008-2014) and appearing in the crime drama "The Power of Few" (2013). In 2018, Kilcher began starring on the period mystery series "The Alienist" (TNT, 2018-).
