Sam Duke

As a pasty, freckle-faced youngster, Sam Duke made his professional acting debut in 2009's "Flirting with Forty," a Lifetime-produced (and fairly well-received) romantic TV movie dramedy. In the film, Duke was featured with a solid supporting role, playing Will Laurens, a disapproving kid whose divorced mother (played by the stunning Heather Locklear) is engaging in a long-distance fling with a studly younger man living in Hawaii. Duke made a lasting impression with his performance, and as a result, he landed another TV movie role, this time playing the younger version of Luke Perry's character John Goodnight in the logically titled 2011 western "Goodnight for Justice." In 2011, Duke also managed to break out from the confines of made-for-TV fare, first with a supporting role in the motion picture drama "The Truth Below," in which a Spring-Break-gone-bad results in a web of deceit and mistrust. It wasn't an especially well-received project, but for the up-and-coming Duke, it at least offered the chance to get on the big screen. And later that year, Duke landed perhaps his highest quality role, playing the character Shane (who is mixed up in a heap of paternity drama) across seven episodes of the Canadian family-drama "Hearland."
