Taylor Momsen

An accomplished actress, model, and recording artist before she graduated high school, Taylor Momsen became a child star after her irresistible performance as the adorable Cindy Lou Who in the film adaptation of Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000). When she was not acting in movies and television, Momsen was also a model and lead singer of the indie punk/pop band, The Pretty Reckless. Yet it was her career-defining role as Upper East Side social climber and fashion designer Jenny Humphrey on "Gossip Girl" (CW, 2007-12) that made the actress a bona fide star. As the youngest principal cast member of the hit drama series, Momsen often stole the show with her acerbic wit and fashion-forward outfits. In real life, the star was less like her Upper East Side character on the show; instead, making herself into a Courtney Love-esque riot girl for the new millennium. Yet whether she was dealing with drama on the show or getting photographed looking like a downtown punk rocker, for better or for worse, Momsen managed to keep people talking.
